As the weather gets colder your makeup should smoulder.
INIKA’s Romancing the Storm colour story captures the most beautiful colours of the colder season and wraps them up in a chic box for you.
The colour’s inspiration comes from passion, romance and femineity and features, smokey eyes with strong undertones of plum and deep purple, polished with a nude lip.
INIKA’s Romancing the Storm pack includes a Naked Ambition Lipstick, Black Caviar Eye Liner, a Crème de Cassis Eyeshadow and an Autumn Plum Mineral Eyeshadow.
To get the look:
Create a flawless canvas by massaging INIKA pure primer onto the face. Using the kabuki brush, blend INIKA mineral foundation into the skin until desired coverage is achieved.
Apply Crème de Cassis eyeshadow to the lower lip as a base. Line top and bottom eyelash line with Black Caviar eyeliner and then blend Autumn Plum eyeshadow into the sockets of the eyes.
Apply lashings of INIKA Mascara in black for definition.
Finish with an application of INIKA Naked Ambition lipstick.

So w decided to devise a list of pro and cons about makeup primers. But then we stumbled across a slight glitch in our plans- there are no cons!
A lot of people don’t know why they should use a primer. A lot of people think they don’t have enough time to use primer, or that it’s not necessary. In reality, using a primer can be extremely beneficial for your skin and the longevity of your makeup. And when the end result is lasting perfection, you can surely make time to prime.
A primer creates an even canvas for your skin, allowing your base- whether it is powder or liquid- to glide flawlessly on the skin. Any uneven areas that you may have on your face, such as dry skin, fine lines, oily patches or acne, is more likely to be covered by your foundation if you have prepped with a primer.
For the perfect primer try INIKA’s Pure Primer. Firstly it’s all natural, organic, vegan and halal with scrumptious ingredients like aloe vera, macadamia oil and shea butter.
Secondly it keeps the skin hydrated without being oily, leaving you with nourished, healthy skin. The best thing about using the INIKA primer is that it works as a skin treatment as well as a cosmetic, it uses all natural ingredients to truly feed the skin.
So we all know the dangers of too much tanning. And I’m sure everyone wants to avoid inevitably looking like Mulberry’s latest man-bag.
But at the same time there’s nothing worse then contorting your body into yoga-esk shapes to try and evenly apply a sunless tanner. Only to leave the bathroom with orange hands and streaky legs.
Casual exposure to the sun does have its positives; vitamin D keeps bones and muscles healthy but adequate exposure to vitamin D is usually incidental.
Don’t even think about visiting the solarium!
Luckily you can relax, INIKA has done all the work for you. Our brand-spanking new Bronzing Essentials pack will have you looking toned, tanned fit and ready from head to toe.
The INIKA Bronzing Essentials pack plays host to the INIKA Purely Bronzed Organic Body and Face Cream, Sunkissed Mineral Bronzer, Bondi Bronze Mineral Eyeshadow and Melon Lipwhip, all wrapped up in a stylin’ INIKA beach bag.
The INIKA Purely Bronzed cream even has certified organic aloe vera juice in it, so it can help soothe any sunburn while moisturising and tanning. What more could you want?
The collection is inspired by the feeling of your skin being kissed with a natural glow from a balmy summer evening. It exudes the freshness and playfulness of summer afternoons and the best part is: there’s no tan lines!

According to Vogue Australia, 1950s style hair is back in a big Bridget Bardot way. This is how they say you can create the look:
“Roughly blow dry or air dry your hair, then add some Batiste Dry Shampoo spray at the roots to give it some grip, and start teasing the hair just behind the crown until you have given it some height. Smooth the top layer over into a slightly disheveled, half-up do, and secure behind the ears with pins. Leave the bottom section loose, and if you think it needs a bit of movement use a large barrel curling wand to create loose, gorgeous waves. Et Voila! God Created Woman.”

How to: Bridget Bardot Look
There’s something innately sexy about smouldering smoky eyes and a nude lip. A look that somewhat fell into vogue after everyone began to take notice of Bridget Bardot.
We love trying out new trends at the INIKA office; here is how we fashioned our own INIKA-style Bridget Bardot doe-eyes and lip.
Weapons of choice:
- INIKA Mineral powder foundation
- INIKA Mineral Mascara in Black
- INIKA Certified Organic eyeliner in Black
- INIKA Mineral Eyeshadow in Coco Motion
- INIKA Mineral lipstick in Nude Delight
- INIKA Mineral foundation in Tuscan Tales
We started with the powder foundation to get a matte look.
For the eyes, we used black eyeliner from the inner corner of the eye, all the way to the outer corner and finished it with a triangular flick. Then, we used the brown eyeshadow along the eyeliner line and along the lower lash line. We finished with lashing of black mascara, particularly on the bottom lashes.
aBridget Bardot’s lips always looked glossy and kissable. We used the nude lipstick as a base and blended in the terracotta (Tuscan Tales) lipstick. If you feel like you need for gloss finish this look, use INIKA’s Lipwhip in Apricot.
Pair this look with big bouncy hair. Read our hair how to here.

So everyone has one problem or another with their skin.
If you want to try something natural and uncomplicated for your skin it might be time to give goat’s milk soap a go. The soap contains nourishing vitamin A, amino acids and proteins and the pH level is similar to that of our skin, which means its gentle. To put it simply here are the benefits:
- · It’s perfect to use as a first soap for babies
- · You can use it on all skin types (yes, even oily)
- · It can help with skin problems such as eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis
Just like INIKA most goat’s milk soaps don’t contain all the bad stuff like sulphates, parabens, petrochemicals etc. You can even use it to wash your face or remove makeup.

INIKA CEO Miranda Bond has won the 2011 Women of Style Award in the Beauty category at the prestigious ‘InStyle/Audi Women of Style Awards’ held in Sydney.
We are so thrilled!!!
“This is an extraordinary win, not only for the INIKA brand, but for the “all natural‟ and organic cosmetics category generally”, said Bond. “It is my hope and belief that this acknowledgement highlights to women of all ages backgrounds that one doesn‟t need to compromise in the quality and style of their makeup by choosing INIKA and an organic approach.”“Available in over 500 stockists worldwide, INIKA is set to significantly ramp up its retail presence here in Australia with the launch this July in leading department store group, Myer.”
Thank you for all your support! xoxo
Bond joined other category winners including Lisa Ho for Fashion, Juanita Phillips for News/Entertainment, Miranda Otto for Arts/Culture and Prue Henschke for the Environment.
The squabbles littered with political jargon between the PM and Tony Abbott reminds me of a special time in primary school.
Kiss and Catch is a fairly self-explanatory game. The magic however, is between the lines. Us girls would squeal in horror at the thought of being captured by our (secret) one true love and the boys would boast about it later.
Safe to say most of us have moved on, but why can’t Julia and Tony?
“Another great big tax” is on my mind. And no I’m not going to voice a particular opinion of the issue. I’m much more entertained by the thought of Tony riding on Julia’s coat-tails while pretending he doesn’t want to smooch the infamous Carbon Tax as a thank you for getting him so much attention.
No matter who wins there is always going to be a new tax, at least this time we have one that may help out Mother Nature.
